MANILA - Police officers arrested four high-value individuals (HVI) and seized over PHP6.8 million worth of shabu in a sting operation in Rizal province on Wednesday night. In a statement Thursday, Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) chief Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta said the suspects identified as alias "Oski", 40; "Verly", 33; "Sittie", 32 and "Jesus", 50, were nabbed about 10 p.m. at Sitio Malabon, Barangay San Juan in Taytay town. Seized from the suspects were seized six transparent plastic bags and two heat-sealed plastic sachets containing 1.01 kg. of shabu and other non-drug evidence. Matta said these suspects are distributors of shabu in the province of Rizal and surrounding areas, including Metro Manila. He said "Verly", who has served a nine-year sentence for another drug case, was a known associate of a deceased prominent drug suspect. Meanwhile, "Oski" previously served a 16-year sentence for a drug case is also wanted for murder. The arrested suspects and confiscated piec es of evidence are now under the temporary custody of the PDEG Special Operations Unit 4A (Calabarzon). Source: Philippines News agency
