53 New Projects Added to Philippine PPP Pipeline

Manila: The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center announced the addition of 53 projects to its pipeline, aimed at fostering collaboration between the government and private sector. This development brings the total number of projects in the pipeline to 230, with a cumulative value of PHP2.61 trillion.

According to Philippines News Agency, the newly included projects encompass a wide range of sectors. Key projects include the Rizal Park Western Development Project, Power Generation and Distribution in San Vicente Flagship Tourism Enterprise Zone, and the Customs Processing System. Other significant initiatives are the Kingsfield Gold and Leisure Cebu, the comprehensive PPP for Air Navigation Services across the Philippines, and the Clark Integrated Transport System. Additionally, the Philippine Postal Corporation is proposing a Public-Private Partnership and Postal Identity Card, while the New Clark City focuses on Information and Communications Technology Passive Infrastructure. Projects also include the bidding for management and operations of cargo handling and port-related services at the Port of General Santos, as well as the clustered Ports of Balingoan and Jasaan.

Further, the PPP Center highlighted the inclusion of projects such as the development of a constellation of Earth observation satellites, a telecommunication satellite initiative, Project Iloilo General Hospital, and the Tabaco City 4PH Project.

Meanwhile, nine projects have been removed from the pipeline after coordination with the respective implementing agencies. The delisted projects are the Baguio-Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program, the MMSU 2MWp Solar PV System, a Bulk Water Supply System, a Solar Rooftop Project, Mariveles Dialysis Center, Bataan Rooftop Microgrid Project, Bataan Emerging Gateways City, and the Operation and Maintenance with Improvement and Expansion Arrangement of the Port of General Santos Project, along with the Manila Central Post Office Project.

Additionally, the water supply development project for Mangatarem in Pangasinan province has been removed from the pipeline following its award and is now part of the PPP Center's database of projects under implementation.
