Manila: The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center announced that six new projects have been added to the pipeline of initiatives set to be undertaken jointly by the government and the private sector. This development marks a significant expansion in collaborative efforts aimed at enhancing infrastructure and services across the country.
According to Philippines News Agency, data from the PPP Center indicates that the inclusion of these projects brings the total number of initiatives in the pipeline to 230, with a combined value of PHP2.86 trillion as of July 28 this year. The newly added projects encompass a diverse range of sectors, including the Development of a Philippine Spaceport, a Cross-border Electronic Invoicing System Project, and a Fuel Marking Program Project.
Furthermore, the pipeline now includes the RENEWSTABLE Green Hydrogen Power Plant in Marinduque, a bundled project for Francisco Bangoy International Airport, Southern Luzon International Airport, and Sayak Airport, as well as the LUMINA Cluster Water Development Plan and Septage Management Program. These projects are expected to contribute significantly to the country's economic and technological advancement.
The PPP Center also reported the removal of five projects from the pipeline following coordination with the relevant implementing agencies. The delisted projects include the Development, Expansion, Operations, and Maintenance of Sayak Siargao and Francisco Bangoy International Airport Project, Traveler Information and Data Security System, MMDA Emergency Response Center, and the Upgrade and Improvement of the Iloilo Commercial Port Complex.
Additionally, the operation and maintenance of Palayan City Hospital was removed from the pipeline database after its award and is now cataloged within the PPP Center's database of projects currently under implementation.
