663 Cops and 759 Force Multipliers Ready for Pangasinan Class Opening

Pangasinan: The Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPO) is gearing up for the upcoming opening of classes on June 8 by setting up 1,399 police assistance desks throughout the province, an official announced on Friday. These desks will be strategically placed near schools and key convergence areas, including transport terminals, to provide assistance to students and parents navigating the start of the school year.

According to Philippines News Agency, Capt. Aileen Catugas, the Pangasinan PPO information officer, stated that their deployment plan includes 663 police personnel, in collaboration with 759 force multipliers and 82 personnel from other units, ensuring a robust presence on the ground for the class opening. This initiative is aimed at maintaining order and safety as 1,398 public schools across the province welcome students back to their classrooms.

Col. Dennis De Leon, the officer-in-charge of Pangasinan PPO, emphasized the importance of vigilance among police personnel in deterring criminal activities during this busy period. He instructed officers to address complaints and reports with respect and encouraged the public to report any instances of misconduct by officers. In addition, De Leon highlighted the police's involvement in "Brigada Eskwela" (School Brigade), where they contributed by bolstering security measures.
