AL-SULTAN ABDULLAH, SULTAN SHARAFUDDIN EXTEND AIDILFITRI GREETINGS

KUALA LUMPUR, Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, in extending Aidilfitri greetings, called on the people, especially those in the state, to celebrate the festive season with gratitude and joy. Tengku Ampuan of Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah also conveyed festive wishes. In His Royal Highness' 2024 Aidilfitri message, Al-Sultan Abdullah urged everyone to prioritise health and ensure that family members, especially children, remain healthy as the country faces hot weather due to the El-Nino phenomenon. 'This phenomenon can affect health, with the risk of dehydration and heatstroke. Therefore, I advise everyone to take care of their health during this festive season, drink enough water and limit outdoor activities,' Al-Sultan Abdullah said. At the same time, Al-Sultan Abdullah expressed gratitude to members of the Fire and Rescue Department and the Malaysian Armed Forces, especially the 4th Brigade, who have been assisting in extinguishing fires in Penor and other areas. Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah also extended Aidilfitri greetings and advised the public travelling back to their hometowns to drive carefully and remain vigilant on the roads. Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin also extended festive greetings. 'I pray that Aidilfitri this year is celebrated in a joyful and harmonious atmosphere. ' I call upon Muslims and people of all races, regardless of race and religion in this country, to continue to strengthen unity and foster a spirit of goodwill among each other,' His Royal Highness said in a post on the Selangor Royal Office's Facebook page today. Sultan Sharafuddin called on every segment of society to always practise noble qualities and avoid spreading slanderous and malicious remarks as every action taken reflects a person's piety towards Allah SWT. The Ruler also expressed hope that Muslims will continue to preserve family ties and to seek forgiveness, especially during Syawal marked by open house t raditions and visits that strengthen the spirit of camaraderie.
