Albay Allocates PHP10 Million for Medicine Supply in Government Hospitals

Legazpi city: The provincial government of Albay has allocated PHP10 million for the purchase of medicines for hospitals managed by the local government unit. Governor Noel Rosal announced this initiative as a measure to ensure a continuous supply of medicines in government health facilities, especially as the fiscal year draws to a close.

According to Philippines News Agency, Governor Rosal emphasized the proactive nature of this purchase, highlighting the importance of maintaining a steady stock of medicines in the face of dwindling year-end budgets. The provincial government manages eight government hospitals across the province, and this allocation aims to address the persistent issue of medicine shortages.

Governor Rosal reiterated that this move is part of the provincial government's ongoing commitment to provide quality medical services to the residents of Albay.
