Army Engineering Unit Lauded for Supporting Northern Mindanao Development Projects

Manolo fortich: Philippine Army (PA) commander Lt. Gen. Roy Galido praised the 52nd Engineering Brigade (52EBde) for its critical engineering support to development programs in Northern Mindanao. His commendation came during a visit to the 52EBde's headquarters at Camp Natividad, Bukidnon, marking the brigade's 56th anniversary on July 10.

According to Philippines News Agency, Army spokesperson Col. Louie Dema-ala highlighted Galido's appreciation for the 'Kaayadan' troopers, recognizing their significant community impact through various development and engineering services. These efforts involve collaboration with government agencies and local units to construct infrastructure such as farm-to-market roads.

In his keynote address, the PA chief also discussed plans to enhance the 42,000-hectare Camp Kibaritan in Kalilangan, Bukidnon, aiming to establish it as the main Army training area in Mindanao due to its potential. Galido stressed the importance of creating an exemplary training environment to produce a dedicated and professional force with high operational readiness.

Galido concluded by urging the 52EBde to embrace change and continuous improvement, emphasizing that while being good is acceptable, striving for excellence is essential.
