Baguio: The Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) announced plans to deploy approximately 600 officers to ensure the safety and security of multiple events scheduled for Sunday, including anti-corruption rallies. These officers will be a mix of uniformed and plainclothes personnel tasked with maintaining peace and order throughout the day.

According to Philippines News Agency, BCPO information officer Maj. Marcy Grace Marron stated during a phone interview that the deployment will include personnel for traffic management, anti-riot operations, and intelligence monitoring. Marron confirmed that a rally permit was granted to Liberal Youth Baguio-Benguet, allowing them to march from the Baguio Convention and Cultural Center grounds to People's Park via Harrison Road. The permit is valid until 12 noon, and organizers are expected to adhere to its conditions.

In addition to the rally, the day's events will feature the Session Road closure for September, marking the city's charter anniversary, a unity walk by the Baguio-Benguet Medical Society from Cathedral Church to Harrison Road, and the 'Hari ng Ahon' bicycle challenge. Despite the busy schedule, Marron is optimistic about the peaceful progression of events, emphasizing the peace-loving nature of Baguio's residents who aim to express themselves without causing disturbances.
