Bill Proposes Establishment of First Children’s Hospital in BARMM

Cotabato city: A bill filed in the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) seeks to establish the first-ever Bangsamoro Children's Hospital in this city. In a statement Friday, Member of Parliament Naguib Sinarimbo, who authored Parliament Bill No. 397, said the measure proposes a 200-bed facility dedicated exclusively to pediatric care.

According to Philippines News Agency, Sinarimbo, who filed the bill Thursday, expressed hope that the hospital would contribute to the well-being of children in the region, referring to them as "our future leaders." He described the proposed hospital as a "sanctuary of healing" for the region's youngest and most vulnerable citizens.

Sinarimbo emphasized that the bill aims to ensure no child in the Bangsamoro is denied medical attention due to poverty or distance. The planned facility would offer pediatric, neonatal, and nutrition services, along with immunization programs. The Bangsamoro Ministry of Health would supervise the hospital once the parliament approves the bill.
