BIR Joins ‘Lab for All’ to Enhance Taxpayer Services at Subic Bay

Subic bay: The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), through Revenue District Office No. 21-Subic Bay Freeport Zone, actively participated in the 'Lab for All' activity held at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center on Feb. 24, reaffirming its commitment to accessible and citizen-centered public service.

According to Philippines News Agency, the activity, graced by First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, convened national government agencies and key stakeholders in a whole-of-government effort to deliver essential frontline services directly to the public.

In support of this initiative, the BIR established an official service booth to enhance taxpayer accessibility and strengthen responsive service delivery. During the event, the BIR provided on-site issuance of Taxpayer Identification Numbers (TIN) and facilitated services under the Counsel-Help-Assist-Taxpayer (CHAT) Program, offering immediate assistance on registration, compliance inquiries, and other taxpayer-related concerns.

The on-the-ground presence of the bureau enabled faster service processing and improved taxpayer engagement in a convenient, orderly setting. BIR Commissioner Charlito Martin Mendoza underscored that BIR's participation in community-based initiatives forms part of its continuing strategy to promote voluntary compliance, transparency, and public trust through people-oriented tax administration.

He emphasized that mobile TIN registration and direct taxpayer assistance reflect the BIR's commitment to bringing government services closer to the people more efficiently and inclusively. The participation of RDO Subic, under the leadership of Assistant Revenue District Officer Roland Rotoni, in coordination with Revenue Region No. 4-Central Luzon OIC-Regional Director Saripoden Bantog, highlights BIR's unified approach in advancing institutional modernization and service excellence in line with the directives of national leadership.

Through sustained outreach programs and field-based service initiatives, the BIR continues to uphold its mandate of fair, transparent, and efficient tax administration while ensuring that essential taxpayer services remain accessible to all Filipinos.
