Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas Reassumes Leadership of Calabarzon Police

Camp vicente lim: Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas has reassumed the role of director of the Police Regional Office-Calabarzon (PRO-4A) on Tuesday. Lucas took over from Brig. Gen Jack Wanky during a turnover ceremony held at Camp Vicente Lim.

According to Philippines News Agency, Lt. Gen. Bernard Banac, PNP Deputy Administrator, presided over the ceremony and emphasized the importance of fulfilling duties and missions with dedication. Brig. Gen. Lucas, in his message, committed to adhering to the 8-Point Agenda of the acting chief of the Philippine National Police, Lt. Gen Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., aiming to enhance services for the people of Calabarzon.

Meanwhile, Brig. Gen. Wanky expressed gratitude for his 'short but meaningful' tenure and praised the efforts of PRO-4A in maintaining Calabarzon as one of the safest regions in the Philippines. The PNP data for the first quarter indicated a decrease in crime rates, with the most significant decline in the Caraga Region by 1.05 percentage points, followed by Calabarzon with 0.76, and Central Visayas with 0.69.

Additionally, the Batangas Police Provincial Police reported that no crimes were recorded on August 25, 27, and 29. Only 12 crimes were reported between August 23 and 29, compared to 28 during the same period in the previous year, 2024.
