Bulacan to Honor Del Pilar, One of PH’s Most Revered Heroes

Bulacan: The province of Bulacan will pay tribute to one of the country's greatest propagandists and heroes as it marks the 175th birth anniversary of Gat Marcelo H. Del Pilar on Saturday morning. The commemoration, themed 'Inspirasyon ng Kabataan sa Matatag na Kinabukasan' (Youth's Inspiration for a Strong Future), will be held at the Marcelo H. Del Pilar Shrine in San Nicolas, Bulakan, Bulacan.

According to Philippines News Agency, Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro will serve as the guest of honor, leading the wreath-laying ceremony and delivering a keynote address that highlights Del Pilar's enduring relevance, particularly how his legacy can inspire today's youth in nation-building.

Also in attendance will be Governor Daniel R. Fernando, Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro, members of Del Pilar's family, lawmakers from Bulacan, local officials, and representatives from various sectors.

In a statement, Fernando underscored the "profound importance" of the commemoration, stating that Del Pilar's vision of a free and progressive nation continues to guide Bulakenyos and all Filipinos. He emphasized that it remains the duty of every citizen to ensure this legacy of freedom and progress is passed on to future generations.
