Iloilo: The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) announced that all 175 passengers of a PAL Express flight, which encountered a pressurization issue on Sunday afternoon, have safely disembarked. The flight, identified as GAP 2544, was en route from Dumaguete to Manila when the issue arose.
According to Philippines News Agency, the pressurization problem prompted the flight crew to declare an emergency and redirect the aircraft to Iloilo International Airport. The plane landed safely at approximately 4:27 p.m. CAAP confirmed that all passengers, including three infants, exited the aircraft without incident. However, some passengers requested medical assistance, which was provided by airport medical personnel.
In a statement released on Sunday night, Philippine Airlines assured that it is offering support to both passengers and crew members involved in the incident. As part of an ongoing investigation, CAAP has requested that the pilots report to its Flight Standards and Inspectorate Service.
