MANILA-- Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) and Bataan may experience light to moderate rains, likely between 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
PAGASA earlier forecast partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms to prevail throughout the archipelago on Sunday.
The thunderstorm affecting Zambales, Rizal, and portions of Batangas may last until 4 p.m..
At present, the ridge of a high pressure area is extending across Luzon, while the easterlies are affecting the eastern part of Visayas and Mindanao.
Moderate to strong winds will blow from northeast over extreme northern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Light to moderate winds, on the other hand, will come from southeast to south over the rest of Luzon, and coming from east to northeast over Visayas and Mindanao.
Coastal waters along these areas will be slight to moderate, PAGASA said.
