In a text message on Tuesday, DSWD-FO IV-A Public Information Officer Joseph Arceo stated that as of the 4 p.m. August 4 report, 5,552 families remain in 142 evacuation centers, primarily in communities near Laguna Lake, where flooding persists.

Despite improving weather conditions, Arceo mentioned that the DSWD Field Office IV-A continues to collaborate with LGUs to assist displaced families and those whose livelihoods were disrupted by the recent weather events. Arceo emphasized the DSWD's commitment to supporting local governments in disaster response and aiding affected families in recovering from the impacts of these weather disturbances.
