He highlighted Calatrava as a budget-friendly destination where travelers can enjoy the laid-back charm of Romblon without stretching their finances. Island hopping and swimming in crystal-clear waters are among the famous activities in the province.

Visitors can explore the beaches of Cove Aurelio Resort, Lapus-Lapus Beach, Guindawahan Island, and Tinagong Dagat, all located in Barangay Talisay. Other notable spots include Ngak-Ngak Beach in Bgy. Linao, Balai Azinan in Bgy. Balogo, and Bulawan Farm Resort in Bgy. Pagsangahan. Island-hopping rates in Lapus-Lapus or Tinagong Dagat can go as low as PHP3,000 for 10 persons.

Private diving groups accredited by the local government offer island-hopping packages for adventurous travelers eager to see the untouched side of Romblon. The Calatrava Tourism Council charges a minimal environmental fee of PHP20 per visitor to help maintain cleanliness in these areas.
