Camarines Norte Welcomes New Acting Provincial Director

Camarines norte: The new acting provincial director of the Camarines Norte Police Provincial Office, Col. Paul Abay, assumed post Monday. Abay succeeded Col. Lito Andaya, who now serves as officer in charge of the Office of the Chief, Regional Staff (OCRS).

According to Philippines News Agency, Police Regional Office-5 Director Brig. Gen. Nestor Babagay Jr. expressed confidence in Abay's leadership during the turnover ceremony at Camp Simeon Ola. Babagay encouraged Abay to inspire and lead the Camarines Norte police in their campaign against criminality, emphasizing the importance of community engagement and maintaining peace and order in the province.

In his speech, Abay expressed gratitude to the Philippine National Police leadership for their trust in him. He committed to continuing the programs against criminality, illegal drugs, and other threats. Before this new assignment, Abay served as the OIC of the OCRS and held significant roles such as chief of the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division and the Regional Operations Division.

Abay's leadership transition is part of the Philippine National Police's regular reshuffling of officers, ensuring that experienced leaders are positioned to address public safety and criminal concerns effectively.
