Caraga Anti-Drug Operations Seize Drugs Worth Over PHP3 Million, 101 Arrested

Caraga: A month-long series of anti-drug operations conducted by the Police Regional Office in the Caraga Region (PRO-13) during April resulted in the seizure of 499.8 grams of shabu and 0.95 grams of marijuana, with an estimated value of PHP3,398,890, the PRO-13 reported on Thursday.

According to Philippines News Agency, the intensified operations by various stations and units under PRO-13 led to the apprehension of 101 individuals involved in illegal drug activities. Among those arrested were 27 identified as High-Value Individuals (HVIs) and 74 classified as Street-Level Individuals.

A significant drug bust occurred on April 7 in Nasipit, Agusan del Norte, where two HVIs were arrested and found in possession of 150 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of PHP1,020,000.

"I commend the dedicated personnel of PRO-13 for their relentless efforts in apprehending these drug suspects and bringing them to justice. We are committed to maintaining this momentum in our demand and supply reduction campaigns against illegal drugs," said PRO-13 director, Brigadier General Christopher Abrahano, in a statement on Thursday.
