Caraga Cop Dominates US Police Games

Birmingham: A senior officer from the Police Regional Office in Caraga (PRO-13) has brought home an impressive haul of medals from the 2025 World Police and Fire Games (WPFG) in Birmingham, Alabama in the United States. M/Sgt. Edgar Pantohan, assigned to PRO-13 Regional Learning and Doctrine Development Division, secured a gold, two silver, and a bronze medal in the Taekwondo competition.

According to Philippines News Agency, the WPFG, an Olympic-style international event for first responders, runs from June 27 to July 6. Pantuhan's victories began on June 30, where he earned gold in the Team Poomsae under 30 category, silver in Mixed Pair Poomsae under 40, and another silver in Individual Poomsae under 40. He added a bronze medal on July 1 in the 80 kg/ and above Taekwondo Kyurogi event.

"My heartfelt congratulations to MSgt. Pantuhan for bringing pride and honor not only to PRO-13, but to the entire nation," said PRO-13 director, Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano, in a statement Thursday. Abrahano described Pantuhan as an inspiration to both his fellow officers and Filipino youth.
