Prosperidad: Host Region 13 (Caraga) clinches fifth place in the ongoing 2026 Palarong Pambansa in Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur. As of 2:36 p.m. on Friday, the Caraga Region has secured 16 gold, 8 silver, and 23 bronze medals, amounting to a total of 47 medals.

According to Philippines News Agency, the National Capital Region continues to lead the medal tally with a total of 118 medals, comprising 46 gold, 37 silver, and 35 bronze. Region 4-A (CALABARZON) holds the second position with 30 gold, 34 silver, and 31 bronze medals. Region 6 (Western Visayas) follows in third place, boasting 24 gold, 21 silver, and 21 bronze medals.

Region 7 (Central Visayas) is currently in fourth place with 19 gold, 16 silver, and 18 bronze medals. Completing the top 10 in the medal tally are Region 3 (Central Luzon) in sixth place with 15 gold, 10 silver, and 16 bronze medals; Region 10 (Northern Mindanao) in seventh spot with 13 gold, 19 silver, and 19 bronze medals; Region 5 (Bicol Region) with 11 gold, 12 silver, and 19 bronze medals; Region 11 (Davao Region) with 10 gold, 14 silver, and 11 bronze medals; and Region 8 (Eastern Visayas) with 10 gold, 12 silver, and 16 bronze medals.

Meanwhile, the provincial government of Surigao del Norte celebrated the success of Breanna Aaliyah Erno, who secured four gold medals in various swimming categories. Erno, a Grade 7 student at Surigao National High School in Surigao City, achieved victories in the secondary girls' 200-meter freestyle, 400-meter freestyle, 800-meter freestyle, and 1,500-meter freestyle events. The provincial government expressed pride in her accomplishments, highlighting the talent of Surigaonon athletes on the national stage.
