– The Mactan-Cebu International Airport’s (MCIA) runway will operate partially until Nov. 8, as authorities continued to work on the extraction of an aircraft that overran the runway last Oct. 23.

In an advisory on Tuesday, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said the runway will be operational for all types of aircraft from 5 a.m. to 4:59 p.m. of Oct. 25 until Nov. 8.

But the runway will be closed from 5 p.m. to 4:59 a.m. during the same period.

CAAP said it has issued a notice to airmen (NOTAM) on the operating hours. This NOTAM will be modified depending on the developments in the extraction of a Korean Air aircraft from the end of MCIA’s runway.
