Manila: Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB) announced on Friday the expansion of its international network beginning in the last quarter of this year. CEB will launch direct flights between Cebu and Nagoya, Japan on November 19. Flights are scheduled four times a week, or every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.

According to Philippines News Agency, beginning November 17, CEB will fly thrice weekly between Cebu and Shanghai, China. CEB claimed it is the only airline that offers direct services to Nagoya and Shanghai via Cebu. "At Cebu Pacific, we continue to strengthen our network to give every Juan a better opportunity to explore more destinations across Asia," CEB president Xander Lao said in a statement.

The Gokongwei-led carrier is set to resume direct services between Manila and Xiamen beginning November 23, with flights scheduled on Mondays and Fridays. This expands the carrier's presence in China, as it currently operates direct flights to Shanghai and Guangzhou via Manila.

Direct services between Clark and Hanoi, Vietnam will also resume starting November 19. This will operate thrice a week, enabling travelers from Central Luzon to reach Hanoi more easily. Direct flights between Cebu and Ho Chi Minh City will resume starting October 26, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

"The launch of additional direct flights to China, Vietnam, and Japan not only provides travelers from all over the Philippines with more convenient access to these vibrant cities but also encourages more international travelers to visit and explore our country," Lao said.
