MANILA-- Cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms will be experienced over the Visayas, regions of Ilocos, Mimaropa, Bicol, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga and Davao as well as provinces of Zambales and Bataan, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 24-hour forecast released Monday afternoon.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and rest of the country, PAGASA also said.
Southwest monsoon or 'habagat' is affecting western sections of both Luzon and the Visayas, noted PAGASA.
"Moderate to occasionally strong winds coming from the southwest to south will prevail over western sections of Luzon and of the Visayas and coming from the southeast to south over eastern section of Luzon," PAGASA continued.
Coastal waters along such areas will be moderate to occasionally rough, the state weather agency said.
"Elsewhere winds will be light to moderate coming from the southwest to south with slight to moderate seas," PAGASA added.
