MANILA-- Partly cloudy to cloudy skies withisolated rain showers or thunderstorms will be experienced over Metro Manila and rest of the country, said Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) in its 24-hour forecast released Thursday afternoon.
"At 4 p.m. today, the low-pressure area was estimated based on all available data at 165 km north-northeast of Basco, Batanes province," PAGASA said in the forecast.
It said ridge of a high-pressure area is extending acrossLuzon and the Visayas.
The easterlies are affecting Mindanao's eastern section.
According to PAGASA, light to moderate winds blowing from the southeast to south will prevail over Luzon and the Visayas.
Winds from the east to northeast will prevail over Mindanao.
"Coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate," PAGASA added.
