Quezon City: The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Tuesday deleted all files in the National Printing Office (NPO) related to the May 12, 2025 national and local elections. In an interview, Comelec Commissioner Rey Bulay, head of the Committee on Ballot Printing, said the deletion of the files marks the conclusion of his committee's responsibility in connection with the recent polls.

According to Philippines News Agency, the deletion of the files, conducted at the NPO head office in Quezon City, was approved by the Comelec en banc through a resolution. 'Based on the Resolution issued on May 27, as part of transparency, we approved the deletion of data in the NPO server,' Bulay, who led the activity at the NPO, said.

Among the files that were deleted were official ballots, voter information sheets, and ballot reprints. The deletion of the files is being administered after the conduct of every election in compliance with the Data Protection Act, Bulay said.
