Comelec Plans Nationwide Rollout of ‘Register Anywhere’ Program

Manila: The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is aiming to expand its Register Anywhere, Anytime Program (RAP) across the entire nation following a successful initial implementation in the National Capital Region.

According to Philippines News Agency, Comelec Chair George Garcia announced plans to enhance RAP across all regions with future registration drives. The decision comes in response to positive public feedback regarding the program's accessibility.

Garcia highlighted the satisfaction among people in hospitals, airports, terminals, and call centers as the program brings voter registration services directly to them. The Comelec is currently pilot-testing RAP, which will continue until August 10.

As of August 7, the program has received 10,418 applications for voter registration through RAP.
