Converge ICT Solutions to Launch Two New Data Centers and Cable Systems in 2025

Manila: Fiber broadband and technology services provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. announced plans to activate two new data centers and two international cable systems this year. "This 2025, Converge is positioned for a transformative year in the major plan ahead as we advance in our techco (technology company) direction. First, we are excited to activate two state of the art data centers to support the growing demand of cloud and enterprise services," said Converge chief executive officer and co-founder Dennis Anthony Uy during the company's virtual annual stockholders meeting on Friday.

According to Philippines News Agency, the data centers, started last year, are located in Metro Manila and Pampanga with a combined 1,500 racks to serve its increasing enterprise customer base and demand for bandwidth-heavy applications by its broadband subscribers. In January, Converge announced that it secured a rare Tier 3 design certification for its data center in Caloocan City, scheduled to go online within the year. This certification confirms that the Caloocan Data Center complies with industry standards on maintainability and redundancy, ensuring consistent service availability.

The two cable systems, Bifrost and SEA H2X, are expected to go online this year, enabling Converge to support both residential customers and large-scale enterprises effectively. "The integration of our new data center along with the development of two cable systems position us to proper our converge global business," Uy added.

The company has earmarked capital expenditures of PHP20 billion to PHP25 billion for the year, including payments for the two subsea cable systems and investments in the new data centers.
