Camarines Sur: The Department of Agriculture in Bicol (DA-5) distributed PHP122 million worth of agricultural interventions to farmers' cooperatives and associations (FCAs) in Camarines Sur during President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s visit to the province on March 7, 2025.

According to Philippines News Agency, the DA-5 Regional Executive Director Rodel Tornilla led the distribution of interventions, which included farm machinery, inputs, hauling trucks, and motorized boats to 76 FCAs from Camarines Sur, whose representatives attended the event.

Under the Rice Program, the DA distributed PHP14.6 million worth of interventions, including rice transplanters, grain collectors, floating tillers, tractors, threshers, reapers, a mobile rice mill, certified palay seeds, and biofertilizer.

The Corn Program provided PHP26.5 million worth of interventions, including tractors, combine harvesters, hauling trucks, corn seeds, and cassava stalks.

The Livestock and Poultry Program turned over PHP66.8 million worth of projects, which included the establishment of slaughterhouses, animal hauling trucks, and chicken layer projects under the LOVE for Agricultural Farming Communities initiative.

Under the High Value Crops Development Program quick response fund, tools, vegetable seeds, and farm equipment worth PHP2.3 million were turned over to seven FCAs.

The Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization provided three units of 4WD tractors worth PHP6.89 million to three FCAs, funded under the Rice Competitive Enhancement Fund.

The Philippine Coconut Authority distributed 400 hybrid coconut seedlings, while the Sugar Regulatory Administration turned over a hauling truck worth PHP3.9 million.

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources distributed motorized fiberglass boats, seaweed farm implements, and tilapia farm inputs, with a total worth of PHP730,500.

The Kadiwa ng Pangulo event, a highlight of the distribution, featured 30 exhibitors showcasing agricultural products. The National Irrigation Administration sold rice at subsidized rates, while other cooperatives sold rice at competitive prices, generating total sales of PHP581,336 during the event.

The turnover is part of the Trabaho at Serbisyong Pangkalusugan sa Bagong Pilipinas initiative, a collaboration among the DA, the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the Department of Labor and Employment, and the Department of Health.
