Davao city: Police confiscated over PHP1 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 28 suspects in 23 operations from Dec. 28 to Jan. 3, an official reported Monday. Col. Mannan Muarip, acting chief of the Davao City Police Office, stated that the haul included 131.9 grams of shabu valued at PHP896,999, and 924 grams of marijuana products worth PHP139,049.

According to Philippines News Agency, the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) remains committed to its mission to protect the city with the active support of the community and barangay officials. In the same period, police arrested seven individuals in four anti-illegal gambling operations, seizing PHP1,450 in bet money.

Five operations concerning loose firearms resulted in six arrests and the seizure or surrender of seven firearms.
