Manila: Filipinos planning to visit Nepal are advised to postpone their travel until the situation in the country stabilizes. The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has issued an advisory urging Filipino nationals to delay their travel plans despite the formation of an interim government in Nepal.

According to Philippines News Agency, no Filipino was reported adversely affected by the political unrest in Nepal, which has been shaken by protests over corruption that led to the ousting of the previous government. The DFA emphasized that the Philippine government, through the Philippine Embassy in India and its Consulate General in Kathmandu, is actively monitoring the situation.

Filipinos currently in Nepal are advised to exercise caution, remain in their accommodations, and avoid unnecessary outings. The DFA has also reminded them to adhere to all safety and security instructions from local authorities and to comply with any curfews or restrictions imposed by the host government.
