Manila: The Department of Information and Communications Technology has announced its investigation into the hacking incident involving the Anti-Red Tape Authority's (ARTA) Policy Reform, Innovation and Streamlining (PRISM) platform. The hacking, which occurred around 8:57 p.m. on Tuesday, led to the defacement of the site.

According to Philippines News Agency, the DICT stated that they are conducting a comprehensive assessment of the incident report and are in close coordination with relevant authorities to ensure a thorough investigation. They are also working on implementing necessary measures to address the situation.

The DICT emphasized that no sensitive data was compromised during the incident, and there were no active users enrolled in any training courses at the time of the hacking. The DICT-Cybersecurity Bureau NCR is collaborating with ARTA to perform a vulnerability assessment and implement additional security measures to protect the systems.

The department assured the public that all necessary proactive steps are being taken to safeguard government systems and maintain the integrity of the country's data.
