DND Chief Engages Notre Dame Delegation on Regional Security

Manila: Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. engaged in a discussion with a delegation from the Notre Dame International Security Center (NDISC) regarding the Philippines' perspective on regional security.

According to Philippines News Agency, the delegation was led by Prof. Michael Charles Desch and visited the DND as part of their international engagement program. This interaction aligns with President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.'s directive to maintain engagement with international partners.

The visit was part of the Hans J. Morgenthau (HJM) Fellowship, which includes PhD candidates and postdoctoral fellows from prestigious universities worldwide. The discussion aimed to deepen the strategic understanding of Indo-Pacific and global security issues.

The delegation appreciated the opportunity to share views with the Philippine defense leadership. The DND's efforts to connect with international academic institutions are seen as a contribution to global discourse on defense and security.
