DOH Announces Initial List of PhilHealth GAMOT Providers in NCR

Manila: The Department of Health (DOH) has announced the initial rollout of Guaranteed and Accessible Medications for Outpatient Treatment (GAMOT) Providers accredited by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) in the National Capital Region (NCR) starting Thursday. This initiative enables members to access essential medicines from designated partner pharmacies and medical centers.

According to Philippines News Agency, the accredited providers in NCR include CGD Medical Depot Inc. in Quezon City, VidaCure in Alabang and Cubao, Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center in Manila, and Pharm Gen Ventures Corp. (Generika Drugstore) with branches in Para±aque, Navotas, Quezon City, and Taguig.

The list of medicines available through these providers covers anti-infection, anti-thrombosis, anti-asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease treatments, supportive therapies, and maintenance medicines for diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. Some of the anti-infectious drugs available include Albendazole, Amoxicillin, Azithromycin, and more. The anti-thrombotics list includes Clopidogrel and Aspirin. For anti-asthma and COPD, medications such as Budesonide + Formoterol and Salbutamol are included.

Supportive therapies include Aluminum Hydroxide + Magnesium Hydroxide and Paracetamol, among others. Anti-diabetics available are Dapagliflozin and Metformin. The anti-dyslipidemia category includes Atorvastatin and Simvastatin. Anti-hypertensive and cardiology medications like Amlodipine and Losartan are also on the list. For the nervous system, Gabapentin is available.

About 21 of the drugs listed are already included in the PhilHealth Konsulta program for the calendar year 2025. The DOH emphasized the government's commitment to making primary health care more accessible and responsive to the needs of Filipinos.
