Caraga: The Department of Health (DOH) 13 (Caraga Region) announced the release of Licenses to Operate (LTOs) to six more Primary Care Facilities (PCFs) in the region, bringing the total number of licensed PCFs to 36.
According to Philippines News Agency, the newly licensed PCFs include the Tandag City Health Office and Birthing Center and the Barobo Primary Care Facility in Surigao del Sur, and the Prosperidad Rural Health Unit in Agusan del Sur. Also receiving LTOs were the Placer Primary Care Facility in Surigao del Norte, as well as the Luna and Cagniog Primary Care Facilities in Surigao City.
The DOH-13 stated that the release of additional LTOs marks an advancement in strengthening the region's healthcare system and expanding access to primary health care services. The statement added that with the issuance of new licenses, the facilities are now officially recognized as Primary Care Providers, ensuring they meet national standards. This move is part of the government's commitment to achieve Universal Health Care by promoting accessible, efficient, and equitable health services for all residents in the Caraga Region.
