Baguio: The Department of Justice Action Center (DOJAC) and the National Prosecution Service (NPS) have joined forces with the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office - Cordillera region to conduct a lecture series focusing on the law concerning violence against women (VAW). This initiative is part of the 2025 National Women's Month celebration and aligns with Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla's commitment to ending VAW.

According to Philippines News Agency, the 'Justice in Action Lecture Series: Updates on VAW-Related Laws' was inaugurated at the University of Baguio on March 6. The event witnessed the participation of 147 law students and three faculty members from the university. Additionally, 43 law students from the Cordillera Career Development College and seven law students from the University of the Cordilleras attended the lecture series.

The DOJ emphasized that VAW is a societal issue that requires a collective response. Justice Secretary Remulla highlighted that the lecture series reflects an ongoing commitment to adapt to the changing landscape of laws to effectively administer justice. He encouraged continuous learning and mastery of laws, particularly those impacting the welfare of women.
