Manila: The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region 10 (Northern Mindanao) announced on Wednesday the upcoming launch of the Innovation Hub (iHub) in Misamis Occidental province.
According to Philippines News Agency, the launch of the iHub is one of the highlights of the Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW), which is scheduled to take place at Bayfront Arena in Oroquieta City from October 1 to 3. The facility is designed as a collaborative space intended for innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs to develop solutions that address local challenges.
The iHub in Misamis Occidental will be the second such facility in the region, following the launch of a similar hub on August 4 in another city, which also included the establishment of the Advanced Manufacturing Center. The RSTW serves as the regional counterpart of the National Science and Technology Week, an event initiated under Presidential Proclamation No. 780, signed in 2019.
