Manila: The Department of Public Works and Highways - North Manila District Engineering Office (DPWH-NMDEO) reported that drainage rehabilitation activities will be conducted along Dapitan Street (eastbound) in Manila beginning Wednesday. In an advisory released on Tuesday, the DPWH said the works are expected to be completed on April 9.
According to Philippines News Agency, the drainage rehabilitation activities will cover the eastbound lane of Dapitan Street, between Dos Castillas and Algeciras Streets, and between San Diego Street and Maceda Street. The road rehabilitation works will be executed on a stretch of 20 linear meters long and three meters wide, necessitating partial road closure.
Motorists have been advised to take alternate routes to avoid traffic slowdown. Once completed, the DPWH assured that closed lanes would be opened immediately after the construction activities. The project is part of the DPWH-NCR's commitment to improving road safety and efficiency in the region.
