DSWD regional information officer Kristine Sheila Amoroso said the new satellite office is strategically located at the new Agoo municipal hall. It is designed to serve beneficiaries from the second district of La Union who reside far from the regional office in San Fernando City.

According to Philippines News Agency, the satellite office offers a range of services such as Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations, Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita Program, and other financial assistance programs, including medical, burial, and transportation aid. Beneficiaries can also avail of psychosocial intervention through the agency's social workers.
