According to Philippines News Agency, the DSWD issued a warning through a Facebook post, emphasizing the need for the public to remain cautious. The post highlighted that certain social media content is utilizing AI technology to present misleading information as truthful, thereby deceiving people.

The statement mentioned that a particular AI-generated video circulating on social media falsely alleges that the relief goods distributed by the DSWD are spoiled. The post included a screenshot of the supposed fake video to illustrate the misinformation being spread.

The DSWD reassured the public of its commitment to maintain orderly and humane distribution of assistance, adhering to stringent standards and procedures. The agency emphasized the importance of critical thinking in the face of increasingly realistic AI-generated content to avoid confusion and the spread of fake news.
