Manila: Rain Or Shine whipped Barangay Ginebra, 110-99, to win back-to-back in the PBA Season 50 Governors' Cup at Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday. Aaron Fuller was almost unstoppable with 37 points and 12 rebounds, while Caelan Tiongson finished with a conference-high 21 points to lead the Elasto Painters' third-quarter breakaway. Tiongson, named Best Player of the Game, fueled a 36-27 tear in the third with three triples as Rain Or Shine seized control after falling behind early, 17-21. Rain Or Shine created a triple tie with Blackwater and Meralco for second place in Group B at 2-2. The Gin Kings, who eliminated the E-Painters in the Commissioner's Cup semifinals, dropped to 1-2.

According to Philippines News Agency, Tiongson mentioned the team's focus on winning after starting the conference at 0-2. "We have a good import who attracted defense and he opened up the spaces for us," he said. Coach Yeng Guiao credited his locals for solving Ginebra's defense on Fuller, acknowledging the difficulty of making entry passes to Fuller. Guiao also noted that Ginebra might have been tired from Friday's game against Blackwater, which they won 115-85. Adrian Nocum and Jhonard Clarito contributed 13 points apiece to the victory.

In the first game, NLEX dominated San Miguel Beer, 110-96, to stay unbeaten in four starts in Group A. DeQuan Jones led the way with 27 points and 10 rebounds, with significant contributions from Schonny Winston and Robert Bolick.
