Surigao del norte: The Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office (SDNPPO) announced the arrest of 33 wanted persons during 40 manhunt operations conducted throughout June. Among those apprehended were eight individuals identified as the most wanted at both provincial and municipal levels, while the remaining 25 were categorized as other wanted persons.
According to Philippines News Agency, Col. Warren Dablo, the SDNPPO director, praised the operational successes of his personnel, emphasizing their essential role in maintaining peace and order in the province throughout June 2025. In addition to these arrests, the SDNPPO reported significant outcomes from their anti-illegal drugs campaign, which led to the arrest of 20 drug suspects and the confiscation of 66.9 grams of shabu with an estimated value of PHP454,947.
The SDNPPO also addressed the issue of loose firearms, conducting 11 operations that resulted in the accounting of 13 firearms, with nine voluntarily surrendered and four deposited with authorities. Environmental protection efforts included five anti-illegal logging operations, resulting in nine arrests and the seizure of 2,340 board feet of forest products worth PHP175,407.
Furthermore, their anti-illegal fishing operations last month yielded 57 arrests and the confiscation of 247.5 kilograms of assorted marine products valued at PHP420,270. Anti-illegal gambling operations led to the arrest of 10 individuals, while four suspects were apprehended for violations of Republic Act No. 10643, related to Graphic Health Warnings.
