KUALA LUMPUR, Encorp Bhd has suspended its group chief executive officer (CEO) Hazurin Harun to facilitate an internal investigation related to allegations made involving the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC). In a Bursa Malaysia filing, the real estate developer said Hazurin has been suspended effectively today, until further announcement by the board. Encorp has stated that the company will continue its business operations as usual during the suspension period. Group chief financial officer Kamarul Azman Kamarozaman@Amir will be appointed as the officer-in-charge and will temporarily assume the duties and functions of the group CEO. Encorp, referring to the statement issued by the MACC regarding the remand of three of its officers on Aug 8, 2024, said it is committed to good governance and transparency throughout the investigation process.
