In a statement, DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista highlighted the efforts under Oplan Biyaheng Ayos: Undas 2024, which aims to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers at transportation hubs across the country, covering aviation, maritime, road, and railway sectors. According to Philippines News Agency, Bautista emphasized the importance of providing excellent service during peak travel seasons, stating, "Every peak season mayroon kaming Oplan Biyaheng Ayos. Ang objective natin dito ay mabigyan ang mga pasahero ng casa service (There is an Oplan Biyaheng Ayos every peak season. Our objective here is to give every passenger great service)." The DOTr is collaborating with the Philippine National Police, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, and transport terminal management, including t he Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange, to ensure passengers' safety and security. As the number of passengers traveling to provinces is expected to rise, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has issued 298 special permits for 796 buses to accommodate the increased demand. LTFRB chair Teofilo Guadiz III mentioned that more special permits would be issued if necessary to handle the influx of travelers efficiently.
