LAHAD DATU, The Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM) launched its in-house Eastern Sabah Security Zone (ESS Zone) e-Personnel and e-Demographic System today to facilitate the duty assignments of its personnel. ESSCOM commander Datuk Victor Sanjos said the system was founded on the use of artificial intelligence. "ESSCOM aims not only to be known as the security centre of the Sabah's East Coast but as an information centre in the ESS Zone,' he said in a statement here today. He also said that ESSCOM had two main missions, to ensure that incursions would not recur and to ensure there would be zero kidnappings for ransom in the ESS Zone. "The effforts of all ESSCOM personnel are needed to realise both missions in line with ESSCOM's branding and to make ESS Zone a safe and harmonious area,' he said. He added that the ESSCOM branding, through its logo and flag as well as the colour of the ESS Zone map were vital to instill confidence in the public over the security level in the ESS Zone. "This will help develop the socioeconomy in the east coast of Sabah,' he said. The launch of ESSCOM's new flag and logo and the ESS Zone map was held during the ESSCOM assembly today.
