New York:First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos has joined a global coalition spearheaded by United States First Lady Melania Trump. This initiative aims to expand children's access to technology and education while ensuring their safety from online threats.

According to Philippines News Agency, Araneta-Marcos announced her involvement in the 'Fostering the Future Together' coalition after participating in a luncheon with Trump and other First Spouses at the St. Regis Hotel in New York.

Araneta-Marcos expressed her enthusiasm in a social media post, highlighting the coalition's shared objective of providing children with opportunities to learn and thrive in a secure digital environment. She emphasized the importance of creating a safer and more hopeful future for all children, particularly the Filipino youth vulnerable to harmful online content.

The coalition, launched by Trump during the 80th United Nations General Assembly in 2025, focuses on promoting children's well-being through education, innovation, and technology. Key areas include artificial intelligence in education, online safety, and digital literacy. The coalition also aims to foster collaborations between governments and technology firms to enhance access to educational resources.

Araneta-Marcos is expected to host a "Fostering the Future Together" event during the ASEAN Summit in the Philippines later this year. The coalition currently comprises 57 member nations, with their First Spouses working alongside governments to explore technology-based educational opportunities and protective measures for children online.
