Manila: Fuel prices are set to rise this week, with oil companies announcing increases of between PHP0.20 and PHP0.80 per liter.
According to Philippines News Agency, Seaoil and Petron have released advisories indicating that the price of gasoline and kerosene will increase by PHP0.20 per liter, while diesel prices will see a more significant rise of PHP0.80 per liter. These changes will take effect starting at 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
PTT Philippines has also confirmed that it will implement identical adjustments to its gasoline and diesel products, aligning with the same effective time. Caltex has announced similar adjustments for its products, set to go into effect a minute later, at 6:01 a.m. on the same day.
Last week's projection by Jetti Petroleum president Leo Bellas anticipated a rise in diesel prices ranging from PHP0.60 to PHP0.80 per liter and a gasoline price increase between PHP0.10 and PHP0.30 per liter. This forecast was influenced by geopolitical tensions abroad and increased demand for oil.
