Manila: Globe Telecom will fund its 2025 capital expenditures partly through the PHP5 billion long-term loan it secured from the Bank of Commerce, the company said Friday.
According to Philippines News Agency, in a disclosure with the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), the telecommunications firm stated that the funding will also be used for debt refinancing and other general corporate requirements. The company has set a capital expenditure guidance below USD1 billion (PHP57 billion) for this year, reflecting its continued investments aimed at strengthening and future-proofing its network to meet the growing demand for digital services and emerging technologies.
As of the end of June this year, Globe has invested approximately PHP18.9 billion in capital expenditures, marking a decrease of 33 percent compared to the previous year. The company noted that the proportion of its investments to revenue has improved, shifting from 34 percent in the first six months of last year to 24 percent in the same period this year.
Globe emphasized that with focused investments and innovation shaped by consumer needs, it is helping more Filipino homes and small businesses thrive in today's connected world.
