GSIS Opens 54th Digital Business Center in QC to Streamline Services

Quezon City: The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) unveiled its 54th Digital Business Center at its Quezon City branch on Thursday, providing faster and more efficient services for the members.

According to Philippines News Agency, GSIS President and General Manager Jose Arnulfo Veloso led the opening ceremony at the facility along Elliptical Road, joined by Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) Director General Ernesto Perez. The new center, open Mondays to Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., is equipped with tablets featuring the GSIS Mobile Touch App, enabling members and pensioners to process transactions without having to wait in line.

The app allows users to apply for loans, check balances, view records, and complete other services traditionally handled at counters. Veloso emphasized the importance of digital business centers in all GSIS offices to assist government colleagues and retirees in using mobile technology for their transactions.

Veloso noted that GSIS has achieved 98 percent digitalization and is on track to reach full digital transformation by 2026. Currently, 70 percent of transactions can be completed through the GSIS Mobile Touch App, available for download in both Google Play and Apple stores. ARTA welcomed the initiative, highlighting its importance in reducing bureaucratic red tape.
