High-Value Drug Suspect Apprehended with P3.5 Million Worth of Shabu in Iloilo City

Iloilo city: Police arrested a high-value drug suspect during a sting operation in the Molo district here Thursday night and confiscated PHP3.5 million worth of shabu.

According to Philippines News Agency, a report by the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) on Friday identified the suspect as alias 'Dodoy,' a 45-year-old married construction worker, who was apprehended in Barangay San Antonio. Authorities seized approximately 515 grams of suspected shabu, which were contained in 11 heat-sealed and four knot-tied transparent plastic sachets.

The suspect is now facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. ICPO officer-in-charge Col. Wilbert Parilla emphasized the significance of this operation, stating, "This PHP3.5 million drug seizure is a clear warning to those involved in illegal drugs: Do not test us. The Philippine National Police is committed to ensuring a peaceful and orderly celebration in honor of Se±or Sto. Ni±o. Rest assured, our intensified anti-drug campaign will continue during the festivities and on ordinary days."
