KUALA LUMPUR, The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) has identified that a hole in the drainage caused the erosion that saw the ground floor corridor at the back of a unit in Block D of Flat PKNS Taman Keramat Permai settle by almost two metres. In a statement, MPAJ said the finding was made following a visit by its Engineering, Building and Architecture Department team and Commissioner of Building to the location yesterday. It said several other damages were also identified, noting that MPAJ will carry out repair work to ensure the safety of residents, which is expected to be completed within two weeks. 'The work to be carried out involves repairing the drainage and (clearing) sedimentation as well as repairing the floor structure,' read the statement.
